What is Mindfulness?
Deliberately and non-judgmentally focusing on the present moment.
When we, as urban dwellers, lack awareness, we tend to become inattentive and restless. In this mental state, we are easily led by various thoughts. Under pressure, negative behaviors often arise habitually, affecting our physical and mental health as well as our relationships. When our awareness diminishes, our thoughts can become negative, pessimistic, and rigid, with unsettling thoughts sometimes recurring uncontrollably.
Mindfulness involves deliberately focusing on what we want to focus on, rather than being pulled along by the trivialities of life.
It means intentionally paying attention to the sensory experiences of the present moment, rather than being preoccupied solely with thoughts and concepts.
It calls for embracing the different sensations within our sensory experiences with an open attitude, rather than judging or analyzing them as good or bad.
Through mindful floral art, we can truly ground ourselves in the present, welcoming each moment with openness and kindness.
What will we do?
Our Florists will share floral arrangement styling tips, techniques for creating depth and airiness, and instructions on how to care for flowers. You'll learn how to prepare your materials, how much to trim the stems, how to maintain your arrangement, and how to choose color palettes.
Mindful Floral Jamming:
Curated by psychologists, this workshop incorporates mindfulness elements. By teaching participants mindfulness techniques, you'll learn to focus on the present moment, allowing your mind to fully immerse itself in the art of floral design. Enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating escape from your busy life.
